Base Camp Weeks

Guided ski expeditions and weeklong basecamp stays on the edge of Sarek National Park, Swedish Lapland.

What This Is

A weeklong stay at our basecamp on the edge of Sarek, built around friluftsliv — the Scandinavian practice of open-air living. No fixed program, no guided itinerary. You share a base and the days with a small group, and decide together your outdoor activity.

Who Is This For

People curious about the outdoors who lack the skills, confidence, or local knowledge to go into wilderness like this on their own. No experience or technical skill required.

Why Friluftsliv

Friluftsliv is a relationship to nature: unstructured time outdoors, without a goal to hit or a summit to reach. It's rooted in allemansrätten — the right to roam — one of the things that makes this kind of open, unstructured access to wilderness possible in the first place.

This is our fourth summer running this basecamp. The nearest shop is 120 km away — this isn't a place people reach by accident. We've hosted a lot of people here, and what we've learned is that the wilderness isn't only for the hardcore. Some of the most valuable time here has nothing to do with pushing limits — it's slower than that.

If you're in doubt whether this week suits you, please don't hesitate to contact us.
