Nearest airports — Gällivare, Kiruna, Luleå

• Flying into Gällivare — direct flights connect Gällivare Airport with Stockholm Arlanda.
• Flying into Kiruna or Luleå — both cities have good onward train/bus connections to Gällivare (roughly 1–1.5 hours from Kiruna, around 2.5–3 hours from Luleå).

Trains & buses (Sep–Mar) — the onward connection to Kvikkjokk runs on a reduced winter schedule compared to summer. Take the train to Murjek, Älvsbyn, or Boden, then a bus to Jokkmokk, then bus 47 (the "Kvikkjokksbussen") on to Kvikkjokk. During this off-season period, bus 47 runs once daily on weekdays only — so plan your travel day around that, and always check exact departure times before booking, as schedules can shift between seasons.
